It's Officially Here

Spring, I mean.  The beginning of new possibilities, new adventures, and for us: a new HOUSE.  Yes, we are moving out of our tiny little house and gaining space (and bathrooms).  I know, I wanted to tell you, but now that it is official - there you go.  May 1st is the date.  Yes, more to come on that.  For now, it is Spring Break.  We have loads of things planned but mostly they have to do with organizing, packing, and preparing for our new house.  Kaya and Kale have been busy making posters for their new (and separate) rooms.

We have lots and lots of crafts and park trips planned... but what is to eat this morning?

I found the best thing on Pintrest.  It looked so easy and delicious that I had to give it a try.

 Breakfast in a Cup

1/4 oats
1 tsp brown sugar
1 egg
hand full of strawberries
cinnamon to taste
dash of milk

(I made this for 4 people, so I mixed it all up in a bowl and transferred it over to the mugs.)  Mix ingredients together and pour it into the mug.  Microwave for 2 minutes.  After you cook it, it will separate from the mug.  Just dump it onto a plate.  We topped with some strawberry syrup that I had made last summer.

  3. This is NOT from Mark. It's from Jean:
I just love this blog. Where do you get all of your energy to do all of these things and then to write about them? I really enjoy reading about all of your adventures and seeing the beautiful area where you live. I look forward to seeing your new blogs!

  4. I made this recipe this morning, but I didn't have oatmeal on hand so I went to the cereal aisle of my pantry. I made one cup with blueberries and shredded wheat, and a second cup with bran flakes, leftover pork sausage and green onions. Both were delicious!! I love how versatile this quick little recipe is.
